The Adjara Tourism Department announced on Friday that Batumi, a city on Georgia’s Black Sea coast, has been nominated as one of the “most desirable destinations in Europe” by the British travel publication Wanderlust. Known for its emphasis on adventure and cultural travel, the magazine placed Batumi at the top of its list of 40 European tourist cities, also featuring Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi.

Readers can vote for their favorite destination on the Wanderlust website until October 18, with the final results to be revealed during the Wanderlust Travel Awards on November 6.

Founded in 1993, Wanderlust is recognized for its expertise in travel and exploration.
